When scheduling an inspection, it is important to have the following information;
* What type of inspection you need
* Project address
* Permit number(s)
* Contact Person's name & phone number.
Building Department Inspections:
Call the Building Department between 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM -4:30 PM, Mondays- Fridays, at (650) 851-6796 and give the above-mentioned information to staff.
It is best to call at least 4-5 days ahead of your desired inspection date in order to schedule an inspection. The Town conducts a limited number of inspections each day and inspections are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
If an inspection fails:
If a particular inspection does not pass, you need to rectify all of the deficiencies that caused the inspection to fail and call for a re-inspection. If the same item fails more than once, a re-inspection fee of $100 must be paid before the third inspection can be scheduled.
Other Department Inspections:
Planning Department - Inspection requests are made directly with the project planner. Contact staff at (650) 851-6796 to find out who is the project planner for your project, or look at the middle, left portion of the permit card under "Plans Approved By" to see whose initials are associated with the Planning Department's approval of your project.
Engineering - Inspection requests are made directly with the project engineer. Contact staff at (650) 851-6796.
Woodside Fire Protection District - Inspection requests are made directly with the District. To contact the Woodside Fire Protection District, call (650) 851-1594.
San Mateo County Environmental Health Department - Inspection requests are made directly with the County Health Department at (650) 372-6200.
